Inspired by her SoCal upbringing and Latin roots, Jacq’s collection of songs is a sunkissed blend of modern pop and wistful soul. A unique fusion of Erykah Badu, Lianne La Havas, Norah Jones, and Sade, Jacq’s music draws on the edge of sophisticated pop in a sound that’s all her own. Hailing from the Orange County, Jacq Becker began singing at age 8, while growing up in musical family listening to Motown artists like The Supremes.
Jacq's passion for the arts brought her to Yale University where she continued singing and first began songwriting. However, it was her enduring love of music that brought her back out west to Los Angeles.
Jacq would eventually take her music on the road, performing throughout Europe. Traveling and writing between LA, Sweden, and Nashville, Jacq’s original songs were placed in major TV and film productions (Top 5 staring Chris Rock, Pretty Little Liars, Seven Days in Utopia starring Robert Duvall.)
It was not long after that Jacq signed her first major record deal with Grammy award-winning producer, Redone (Lady Gaga) via Capitol Records. During which Jacq worked with her professional idols such as producers for Sade, John Legend, Mary. J. Blige, and Alicia Keys.
Today Jacq is in the studio writing and recording new material for her new independent project. Inspired by her SoCal upbringing and Latin roots, Jacq’s collection of songs is a blend of modern pop and wistful soul.
